Online Therapy
Online therapy is an option if you prefer to meet via phone or video. For video sessions, I’ll provide you with a HIPAA compliant video link. You’ll also have access to a client portal for scheduling and filling out payment information and additional forms.
I recommend finding a comfortable, private, and well-lit space (for video) with reliable internet access from which to have sessions.
Additionally, I can only provide online therapy to residents in the state of California.

Online therapy tips to make the experience more effective and comfortable:
1. Choose a Quiet, Comfortable Space
Find a private, quiet space free from distractions. This helps you feel more comfortable and ensures confidentiality during the session. Make sure you're in a place where you can focus and talk openly.
2. Test Technology Ahead of Time
Before your session, test your internet connection, microphone, and camera. This reduces technical issues during the session and helps you focus on the conversation rather than troubleshooting.
3. Use a Reliable Device
Use a stable device, such as a computer or tablet, for a smoother experience. A larger screen makes it easier to see your therapist and engage in the session.
5. Stay Present and Engaged
Just like in in-person therapy, stay present by minimizing distractions (e.g., turning off your phone or notifications) during the session. Make sure to look at the camera while talking to help build connection and maintain focus.
6. Prepare and Set Goals
Before each session, think about what you want to focus on. Whether it's specific issues or emotions, having a goal in mind can make the session more productive and help guide the conversation.
